| One of the longest serving members of the squad, Bennett was brought to St. Andrew's by former boss Barry Fry in 1993. A great shot stopper, he has made more than 300 appearances so far in his career. The former QPR trainee spent 18 months in the reserve team at Newcastle before moving on to Peterborough United where he finally gained valuable first team experience. In December 1993 Fry was suitably persuaded to splash out £325,000 on the Worksop-born keeper. Bennett has recently returned to the first team after losing his place to Nico Vaesen through injury. |
